Annuals are plants that only live for one season, usually lasting from spring to fall or fall to spring. Unlike perennials, annuals bloom continually from when they are planted until they die back, making them an excellent choice for seasonal containers and hanging baskets. Mixing annuals with perennials and shrubs in garden beds is a great way to add texture and continual floral throughout the year.
